Hi everyone,
I've won a contest! So it falls on me this month to decide the theme of the next contest. Let's get straight to it -
The theme of the contest this time is: Revealing!
With the mystery slowly building up in Innistrad, I feel like this is all going to come to a head in the upcoming set Eldritch Moon. What's the cause of all this madness? Why's Nahiri so angry? Whose really behind everything? Where did all the hats go? And most importantly, will we see a legendary werewolf at long last? (God I hope so.)
If Shadows of Innistrad is the question set, then I suspect Eldritch Moon will be the answer set, where all the mysteries will be revealed at last. Of course, I have no way of knowing this for sure, but WotC have been really good with story closure recently. Plus, what good's a mystery story that leaves the viewer hanging?
So therefore, as we head closer to the truth behind the Shadows of Innistrad, I think it's only appropriate that we see some card design that fits this.
For this contest, I want you to design a card that reveals something as part of its effect. In Magic, this is an action where some hidden information is revealed for all to see. Usually this will be a card from your hand, library or cards that are currently face-down anywhere. Bonus points if you can flavour it so that it feels like you're revealing the truth. Even more if you've made a cool revelation-mechanic too.
If you can come up with something flavoured as a revelation that doesn't reveal anything, I'd like to see that too. So long as it fits the theme, I'm fine with it. In fact, I may just reward points for creativity.
The deadline is next month May 5th (It looks like we're back to one contest a month so yeah). I'll probably be busy until the weekend after that, so expect the results sometime then.
Good luck!

Maybe I shouldn't be so hard on you guys...
So, nearly a year since Tommo999 (https://www.deviantart.com/tommo999) accidentally killed the contests, which seemed to be most of activity for this group. Anyways, War of the Spark's Release Notes just dropped, and I found an example of the weird corner cases the rules have to adjudicate and how not to handle them. The reason for the subject title is that I found the latter in the former. Let me explain.
Here's a bullet from the card-specific notes for Bond of Passion:
"•In some rare cases, gaining control of the target creature may cause the second target to become illegal. As long as the second target is a legal target as Bond of Passion begins to resolve, before the
July Contest lets DO THIS
So this idea i think has NEVER happened and i want to give people a go. the challenge is simple;
I made a keyword for a set that i have been slowly building. and thought im about half way i have done MOST of the vampires i wanted to do and have finished using keywords that i was using, its now the basic balancing and basic cards that just fit in the set. so i wanna see what YOU guys would do with these keywords i used in my set(you only need to put 1 on the card but more can be on it):
1: Vampized
{param1}: If this creature isn’t a vampire, change the text of this creature by replacing all instances of one creature type with Vampire.
June Winner
And the winner with the only entry is ~Tommo999 (https://www.deviantart.com/tommo999).
Only make a comments:
Lian & Holder woulb be only use the ability "Partener" instead "Partener with ..." .
June Contest Partner
Thank you ~HeraldOfOpera (https://www.deviantart.com/heraldofopera) for choosing me as the winner of the previous month.
This month for the premiere of battlebond, the theme of the June contest will be "Partner".
Create a legendary card with partner equal to comander 2016 or a non-legendary card with "partner with" as in battlebond.
Extra points if they manage to make a non-creature card that uses any of these mechanics.
Notes.
The title of the letter should indicate who participates in this month, if this is not included, it will not be taken into account.
Give credit to the artist of the illustration (can be in the letter or as a link in the comment box). Otherwise, I will n
