I will change the mechanic, the flavour doesn't feel quite right in my opinion. I will use something like:
Grude against <creature_type> - When ~ blocks or become blocked by a <creature_type>, it gets +1/+1 for each <creature_type> on the battlefield. If you control a <creature_type>, ~ can't block.
